ARTS PLANNING

Focused on improving the state of small, independent venues, Brent completed a Masters of Science in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Alberta with a focus on cultural planning.

Brent works to advocate for arts infrastructure as part of Arts Habitat Edmonton, a non-profit focused on achieving long-term impacts to support arts spaces and experiences that are welcoming, safe, and respectful of all.

He has consulted nationally on the importance of independent arts venues and been asked to present at online and in-person events.

Brent is dedicated to having comedy recognized by arts granting bodies as a distinct art-form in order for comedians to have the same opportunities for career advancement as their peers in other disciplines.

Brent is available for consulting projects related to arts space, development and grant writing.
